Everyone dreams of going on a luxury cruise, exploring many exotic and faraway countries and all the sights and sounds each has to offer from the comfort of an opulent ocean liner.

Sadly, this dream will stay just that for many people, as luxury ocean cruises are known to cost thousands of pounds. Not many families can afford these kinds of holidays, but what if there was a way to win the cash you need to sail off into the sunset?

Online bingo could be the answer to your cash shortage, and could even help you earn enough to afford a decent Mediterranean cruise if not a trip round the world!

The huge jackpot prizes on offer at websites like wink bingo are not the only reason why online bingo is so popular, however. It is a very social, fun and fast-paced game, which is what makes it more of a hobby than a spot of online gambling. People head online to chat to their bingo friends, have a laugh and play a great game – but, of course, the huge cash prizes are always appreciated too!

Play at wink bingo today to win cash and start saving up for your dream cruise!

Travelling by boat

If you feel like you want to do a bit of travelling, then a cruise is an excellent way to do this. I went on a Mediterranean cruise and we left Istanbul, visited several Greek islands and finished up in Malta.

It’s a hassle free way of travelling to several countries and areas because you never have to worry about airports, queuing with your luggage or passport control. Simply lay back and relax as you are taken from port to port in absolute luxury.

A cruise ship offers an excellent way to see different areas of the world and all in utter indulgent luxury.

Cruising for food

If you love food, then you will love a cruise. You will be served some of the best food you will ever taste when you are on a cruise.

On the cruise ship that I was lucky enough to board, there were five restaurants and the food at each of them was exceptional.

I never knew that steak could taste that good, but on the cruise, it really was in another league. And the choice at breakfast was endless.

To complement the excellent food, there was constant outstanding service. I never had to ask twice for something; in fact, I rarely had to ask once.

For food lovers, you can’t pick a better holiday than a cruise.

Making waves

One thing that I was worried about before embarking on my cruise was the fact that I might get sea sick. But I needn’t have worried because the cruise experience is nothing like the images that you build up in your head before you go, of a ship teetering on the edge of a huge wave that rocks everyone from one end of the ship to the other.

I was on a small cruise relatively speaking; the boat only held 300 or so guests and I never felt like I was on a boat for the entire trip. You felt the slightest movement every so often but nothing more than that. It was a smooth, relaxing trip and there is nothing to worry about before you step aboard.

Setting sail

The first day was the perfect start to the perfect holiday. With peach bellinis being delivered to us at a constant pace, we set sail from Istanbul for our fantastic adventure.

What was to follow was five days of pure luxury. Not once did I have to ask a staff member for anything and they even managed to learn my name by the second day on the boat.

The food was spectacular; with plenty of choice including the best steak I have ever tasted. And the atmosphere was amazing too, with the rest of the passengers all there for relaxation and a good time.

Cruising: not what I expected

You might think that taking a cruise is something that you only consider once the hairs have turned grey. But I can tell you from experience, that this is not necessarily the case.

I was fortunate to be asked to go on a cruise for work purposes. It was with three other women who I didn’t know before boarding the ship. I wasn’t expecting much and was a bit worried about the experience of being trapped on a boat with ‘oldies’ listening to cabaret. What I found was as far removed from this as I could possibly imagine. And over the next few posts, I will tell you all about it.

Travelling by ferry

A number UK tourist are now opting to travel by ferry as the advantages are quite beneficial in a number of ways. It is said that travel by ferry is more relaxing compared to flying on the basis of the airport security issues, long queues and the fact that you are cramped into small spaces on a number of airlines. Ferries are much more comfortable and service levels have improved dramatically. Ferries now have shops, entertainment areas lunges and a whole host of other options to keep you relaxed all the way.

Variety is large and there are other benefits like being able to take your own car which leaves the worries of baggage restrictions behind.

Sea travel the answer to global warming?

Global warming is becoming a bigger issue day by day. We are tearing up the world faster than we can preserve it so new ideas are always being formulated to lower the global temperature. A number of issues are being tackled and one I would like to talk about is sea travel. Researchers in Austria and Norway have stated that anyone looking to reduce their carbon footprint should consider travelling options in this order:

• Boats
• Trains
• Buses
• Airplanes
• Cars

Unfortunately it may well be difficult for this industry to pick up as most ships are used for freight now.

Dubai waters soiled

Raw sewage, chemical waste and tides of toilet paper are ruining the famous shorelines of Dubai. What is a prestigious shoreline which attracts thousands of western tourists each year has now become a cess pool and home to a toilet filled with e.coli. Tests have been performed by the offshore sailing club, which has had to cancel a number of regattas.

This is going to come as a huge blow to Dubai’s tourism as it is focused heavily on attracting tourism and business to help its economy once the oil has ran out. As the world knows Dubai is extremely rich and a number of beaches they have are manmade. Let’s see if money and reputation can save them.
